Research project exploring the themes of Death and Religion consistent in the art of Damien Hirst and Francis Bacon. The fabric bound cover, which features a crucifix is entombed in a glass box reminiscent of Bacon’s paintings and the uniformed spots similar to Hirst’s work. To give the reader a sense of interaction the book has a variety of textural elements such as embossed floral spreads and a pop-up butterfly, meanwhile the paper and classical typography mirrors that of a Bible.
